Yohji Yamamoto
Yohji Yamamoto is a Japanese fashion designer based in Tokyo and Paris. Yamamoto is known for this avaunt-guard tailoring which include Japanese design aesthetics. Yamamoto has worked with many urban and vibrant brands, one of the most well known brands being Y-3 as we;; as designing costumes for Elton John's, the red piano show in Las Vegas.
Yohji Yamamoto's pairs fashion week show was an eye opener amongst the younger more influential generation. The arrangement of black sharp cut but flattering garments made the models look smart yet ready. Some of the garments had an almost old japanese military style to them making the outfits very interesting and abstract.
As a lover of simple but effective outfits Yamamoto's aw17 line really broke my initial love for bright colours. The all one shade black with the touch of soft kaki green really gave the outfits a 'nature vibe' as i like to call it. Over all a beautiful arrangement of outfits!
